The Town Planning Board today (January 19) announced amendments to the draft Tsing Yi Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
The amendments involve the rezoning of an area of about 5.62 hectares bounded by Cheung Wan Street, Cheung Fai Road, Tsing Yi Heung Sze Wui Road and Cheung Tat Road from "Industrial" ("I") to "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Business" ("OU(Business)") zone, which is intended for general employment uses including non-polluting industrial, office and other commercial uses.
A site of about 2.5 hectares at Liu To, comprising the Mount Haven, is rezoned from "Comprehensive Development Area" ("CDA") to "Residential (Group B)" ("R(B)") to reflect the existing residential development completed in 1999.
In order to regularize the site boundary to match the lot boundary of the Mount Haven, four small areas contiguous to the north-eastern, southern and eastern parts of the Mount Haven, totalling about 0.39 hectare, are rezoned from "Green Belt" ("GB") to "R(B)". Three small areas contiguous to the northern and eastern parts of the Mount Haven, totalling about 0.25 hectare, are also rezoned from "CDA" to "GB".
In connection with these zoning amendments, amendments have been made to incorporate the Notes of the "OU(Business)" zone and the "R(B)" zone in the Notes of the OZP.
Besides, "Residential Institution" use is transferred from Column 1 to Column 2 in the Notes of the "Government, Institution or Community" zone.
The draft Tsing Yi OZP No. S/TY/16 incorporating the amendments is now available for public inspection at the following locations:
* Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, 15/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road;
