Members of the public will be able to enjoy a new facility at the Tai Po Shuen Wan Temporary Golf Driving Range following the opening of a par three hole next Monday (September 25).

A spokesman for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department said today (September 23), "The par three hole is provided to meet the increasing demand of the community in golfing facility."

The par three hole can accommodate a maximum of four persons. The fees for hiring the par three hole for 30 minutes is $60 per person. A half-price concessionary rate applies to people aged 60 or above, the disabled and full time students during non-peak hours on weekdays from 7:30 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 7:30 am to 1 pm except public holidays.

Opened in April 1999, the 14-hectare Tai Po Shuen Wan Temporary Golf Driving Range is located at Ting Kok Road, adjacent to the Tai Po East Fire Station. Apart from the par three hole, the Driving Range consists of two all-weather driving ranges with 145 driving bays, one overlooking the Tolo Harbour and the other facing pleasant green hills. It opens daily from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm.

Members of the public are welcome to visit the driving range. The fee for hiring a driving bay per hour, a golf club or 30 golf balls is $12 each per item. People aged 60 or above, the disabled and full time students are eligible for concessionary rate during non-peak hours.
