The following is the remarks (English portion) made by the Chief Executive, Mr Tung Chee Hwa, after he cast his vote at the Hong Kong Park Indoor Games Hall today (Sunday):

This is the day for the election of the second Legislative Council in Hong Kong, I like to call upon all voters to exercise the citizen's right to come forward and vote and choose the person who can best represent your view and ideals to become member of the Legislative Council. The work of the Legislative Council is a very important one. It approves public expenditure, passes laws, but very important, also monitors the work of the Government. So I really call upon all the voters to treasure the right and come forward to vote during the course of today. Thank you very much.
