In response to media enquiries, a spokesman for the Chief Executive's Office reiterated today (July 15) that neither the Chief Executive nor staff members of the Chief Executive's Office had asked anyone in the Hong Kong University to request Dr Chung to stop conducting his opinion polls.

"We fully support the University of Hong Kong's decision to set up a Commission of Inquiry to look into Dr Chung's allegation and to make public the findings when available."
