Recall of blending accessories of soyabean milk machine

The supplier of a model of electric multi-functional soyabean milk machine has agreed to recall its blending accessories after the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) found that they were unsafe for use.

Acting on recent complaints, follow-up investigation by the department revealed that the cups of the blender, dry mill and mincer units of the machine may accidentally detach from the base during operation, exposing the rotating blade. It poses a risk of lacerations to the hands of users.

The machine model, JH-700A, supplied by Living Good Industrial Company, has been on sale in the local market since January this year.

A spokesman for the EMSD today (June 2) urged consumers who have purchased these blending accessories to stop using them immediately and to return them to the supplier through designated channels as soon as practicable. The suppliers enquiry hotline is 2774 6294.
