The Disaster Relief Fund Advisory Committee has approved a grant of $2.78M to World Vision Hong Kong (WVHK) for emergency relief to famine victims in Ethiopia.

To ensure that the money will be used for the purposes designated, the Government has asked WVHK to submit an evaluation report and audited accounts on the use of the grant after the relief project has been completed.

The Committee hopes that the grant can help provide some immediate relief to the famine victims in Ethiopia.
