Enjoy More Benefits with LCSD Museum Pass

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD)'s Museum Pass for 2000-2001 is now available for sale.

The Museum Pass, which is valid from April 1, 2000 to March 31, 2001, allows holders an unlimited access to the LCSD's major museums including Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong Museum of History, Hong Kong Science Museum (excluding some special exhibitions), Hong Kong Space Museum (excluding the Space Theatre) as well as the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence to be open in mid 2000 and Hong Kong Heritage Museum to be open in the end of 2000.

Pass holders are also entitled to cash discounts for the purchase of selected items at the museum gift shops, and a 10 per cent discount for courses and educational activities organised by the museums.

In addition to the above benefits, the Museum Pass for 2000-2001 also allows holders to enjoy a 10 per cent discount on membership fees for the Ocean Park "SmartFun 21" and its related benefits plus free participation in the entertaining behind-the-scene tours organised by the LCSD's museums and the Ocean Park. This added value is a joint venture between LCSD and the Ocean Park.

The LCSD's museums, apart from displaying their valuable collections and specially designed exhibits, also organise different thematic exhibitions on regular basis.

Interested parties can apply for a Family Museum Pass at a package cost of $200. This Pass is available for family groups of a maximum of four persons with kinship. Individual Museum Pass is also available at $100. There are half-price concessions for Individual Museum Pass for full-time students, senior citizens aged 60 or above and people with disabilities. Members of "SmartFun 21" are entitled to 10 per cent discount on the purchase of a Museum Pass.
