The Postmaster General, Mr Luk Ping-chuen, said today (Tuesday) that the 1999 Prestige Annual Stamp Album and the 1999 Hong Kong Stamps Year Book will be put on sale at the 26 philatelic offices as from Thursday (February 24).
1999 Prestige Annual Stamp Album

The 1999 Prestige Annual Stamp Album will be sold at HK$235. It is a complete collection of all the special stamps, souvenir sheets and stamp sheetlets issued in 1999 with detailed descriptions of the themes and commemorative events.
The Album consists of a book and a separate package of all the following special stamps, souvenir sheets and stamp sheetlets issued in 1999 for insertion into the relevant pages of the book by the collectors themselves:
* Lunar New Year Greetings - stamps
* Twelve Animals of the Lunar New Year Cycle - stamp sheetlet
* International Year of Older Persons 1999 - stamps
* Definitive Stamp Sheetlet (No.13) to congratulate the outstanding performances of the Hong Kong athletes in the 13th Asian Games, Bangkok, 1998
* Giant Pandas in Hong Kong - stamp sheetlet
* Hong Kong Public Road Transport - stamps
* Hong Kong, China - Singapore Joint Issue on Tourism - stamps and souvenir sheet
* Definitive Stamp Sheetlet (No.14) to commemorate Hongkong Post's participation in the China 1999 World Philatelic Exhibition
* 50th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China - stamps
* Chinese White Dolphin - stamps and souvenir sheet
* The Advent of the New Millennium - souvenir sheet
A compliment card is enclosed to enable the Album to be used as a gift item.
1999 Hong Kong Stamps Year Book

The Year Book will be sold at HK$130. It contains one set each of the following special stamps issued in 1999:

With stamps issued to commemorate major events in 1999 such as Giant Pandas in Hong Kong, 50th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China and The Advent of the New Millennium, the 1999 Prestige Annual Stamp Album and the 1999 Hong Kong Stamps Year Book are valuable collectibles as well as ideal gifts for business partners, relatives and friends.
A sales restriction of five Annual Albums and five Year Books per queuing customer will be imposed on February 24 and on subsequent days while stock lasts.
