The following is issued jointly on behalf of the Provisional Urban Council and Provisional Regional Council :

The Urban Services Department (USD) and Regional Services Department (RSD) have set up a one-stop counter to handle licence and permit applications for the food businesses with a view to providing better licensing service to the public.

A spokesman for the two departments said that their respective application forms for food business licences had been standardised to facilitate licence applications.

Starting from tomorrow (Wednesday), applications for licences and permits in the territory can be submitted by post or in person on a standard application form together with copies of proposed layout plans of the premises, where applicable, to any of the following licensing offices :

1. Hong Kong Licensing Office

"The applications received will be promptly handled by the Municipal Services Department concerned," the spokesman said.

Standard application forms are available from the three licensing offices or can be downloaded from the internet homepages of USD and RSD.
