Pianist Liu Nian-qu is going to refresh your mind with his magic touch on the keyboard on Saturday (January 30).

Presented by the Provisional Regional Council, the Piano Recital by Liu Nian-qu will be staged at the Auditorium of Lut Sau Hall in Yuen Long at 8 pm on Saturday.

Accompanied by pianist Tsoi Lo and guitar player Chan Hing-wah, Liu will present a series of remarkable repertoires such as Mozart's¡mSonata in C major¡n, Schubert's¡mMarche Militaire¡n, Beethoven's¡mOde to Joy¡n, He Zhan-hao and Chen Gang's ¡mButterfly Lovers Concerto¡nas well as ensembles of foreign hit TV and film songs and the World's greatest classical.

Liu has served as the Art Director for Shanghai International Arts Festival, the Vice-Chairman of Shanghai Musicians Association, and the Director of Hong Kong Arts Professionals Association.

Tsoi Lo is an accomplished piano professor and composer of movie scores and children's music. She has received Presidential Awards from Italy and Brazil for her composition and the Certificate of Superior Artists, issued by the Chinese Ministry of Arts. She is currently a member of the Chinese Musicians Association and the Composers and the Authors Society of Hong Kong.

Winning numerous prizes in public contest, Chan Hing Wah has devoted himself to the promotion of guitar music through performances and compositions, as well as training and conducting his own ensemble. He has published ¡mAn Album of Popular Guitar Pieces¡nand premiered the performance of ¡mThe Soulful Strings of the Autumn¡n, a work for guitar and violin, winning high acclaims from the music community.

Tickets each priced at $ 40 are now available at all URBTIX outlets. Half-price tickets are available for full-time students, senior citizens aged 60 or above and people with disabilities holding a concessionary card on a first-come-first-served basis.
