The following is issued on behalf of the Provisional Urban Council:

The Aberdeen Tennis and Squash Centre will be opened tomorrow (Monday) for public use.

On a site of 1.35 hectares, the fully air-conditioned Centre at No.1 Praya Road, Aberdeen, is the first of its kind in Southern District.

Located in the main building of the Centre are the ten squash courts, with six on the first floor and another four on the ground floor. Two of them are newly designed double-courts.

Outside the main building, there are eight tennis courts. Sitting out areas with landscaped planting, rain shelters and arbours are also provided.

The Centre will open daily from 7 am to 11 pm. Booking of facilities can be made 10 days in advance at SPORTIX outlets or on the spot. Registered SPORTIX users can book through the telephone reservation service. Enquiries can be made at 2553 6130.
