"Since 1993, the two municipal councils have been joining hands to promote sport for all by providing various recreational and sports activities with competition opportunities for people aged 35 or above so as to encourage them to keep up their interest in sports," Pro RC Recreation and Sports Select Committee Chairman, Mr Chan Ping, said.

Those who would like to vie for the 12 championships are urged to enrol now. Winners of certain events may be invited to represent the two municipal councils in the Overseas Masters Games in 1999.

However, those who have represented the Councils four times or more in the overseas Masters Games will not be considered.

Completed forms should be returned together with a copy of identity document showing the participant's date of birth to the responsible offices for processing.
