Registered electors for the Legislative Council by-election in respect of the Regional Council functional constituency will receive a poll card and a voting guide next week.

A map showing the location of the polling station and a leaflet containing photographs, personal particulars and platforms of the three candidates will be included in the mail, a spokesman for the Registration and Electoral Office said¡@today (Friday).

The three candidates are Mr Ngan Kam-chuen, Dr Tang Siu-tong and Ms Chiang Lai-wan.

Notices gazetted today (Friday) announced that the Committee Room on the fourth floor of the Regional Council Building, 1-3 Pai Tau Street, Sha Tin, is designated as the polling station. It will be open from 9 am to 6 pm on October 29 (Thursday).

The Function Room on the fifth floor of the Regional Council Building will be used as the counting station.

If electors do not receive the materials by October 22 (Thursday), they are welcome to call the election hotline - 2588 1212 - to make enquiries, the spokesman said.

In another notice gazetted today, the Returning Officer declared Mr Fung Chi-kin as being duly elected as a legislator returned from the Financial Services functional constituency.

Mr Fung's nomination was the only one received when nominations for a by-election for the Financial Services functional constituency closed on October 7.
