The Police are investigating a traffic accident on Tuen Mun Road this (Thursday) morning leaving 12 persons injured.
About 10.30 am, four vehicles comprising a container truck, a light goods vehicle (LGV), a medium goods vehicle (MGV) and a Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) double-decker were travelling along Tuen Mun Road heading for Kowloon.
The four vehicles involved in a chain collision near So Kwun Wat when the MGV and the KMB double-decker failed to stop in time due to traffic congestion.
A total of 12 persons, comprising seven men and five women, aged between 19 and 63, were injured. Among the injured persons, nine were passengers onboard the bus and the drivers of the LGV, MGV and bus.
Sustaining slight injuries, the injured persons were sent to Princess Margret and Yan Chai Hospitals respectively for medical treatment.
Eleven injured persons were discharged after treatment while a 63-year-old man is still under observation in hospital.
