The following is issued on behalf of the Provisional Regional Council:

The Regional Services Department announced today

(Friday) that Gemini Beach in Tsuen Wan would be closed with effect from October 1 this year to March 31 next year to facilitate improvement works to be carried out at the Beach.

Life-saving service at the Beach will be withdrawn at the same time.

Swimmers are advised to make use of the rest of the gazetted beaches in the Provisional Regional Council area during the swimming season which will end on October 31.
