The Government of Mongolia has granted visa-free access for a period up to 14 days for holders of HKSAR passports, a Government spokesman said today.

The agreement for mutual exemption of visa requirement between Mongolia and Hong Kong was signed by the Mongolian Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, Mr Dagva Tsakhilgaan, and the Director of Immigration, Mrs Regina Ip, today (Thursday).

"We welcome the decision, which signifies the confidence of the Government of Mongolia in Hong Kong and the HKSAR passport," the spokesman said.

Under the agreement, nationals of Mongolia will likewise enjoy 14 days' visa-free visits to Hong Kong.

"We continue to welcome nationals of Mongolia to visit Hong Kong," the spokesman added.
