In accordance with the Country Parks Ordinance, the Country and Marine Parks Authority (the Authority) has prepared a draft map of Lung Fu Shan Country Park for public inspection.

A Government spokesman said the draft map is ready for public inspection for a period of 60 days according to a notice gazetted today (Friday).

The draft map is available for inspection at the Agriculture and Fisheries Department (AFD) headquarters, the Land Registry, Survey and Mapping Office of the Lands Department, Hong Kong West District Land Office, public enquiry service section of the Home Affairs Department and four District Offices (Southern, Central and Western, Wan Chai and Eastern).

It is also available for sale at $45 each from AFD, Room 1452, Canton Road Government Offices, 393 Canton Road, Kowloon.

He said any person aggrieved by the draft map may send a written statement of his objection to the Authority within 60 days from the date of gazetting, stating the nature and reasons for the objection, and if the objection would be removed by an alteration to the draft map, any alteration proposed.

The proposed country park is located in the north-western part of Hong Kong Island to the north of Pok Fu Lam Country Park and covers an area of about 47 hectares.

The area is well vegetated and provides a scenic backdrop to the residential and commercial districts of Hong Kong Island. The well-established woodland which is of high conservation and landscape value will be conserved and protected.

Recreational facilities will also be provided at suitable locations for the enjoyment of the public.
