Activities Relating to Council's 10th Anniversary
As Council entered its tenth year, the opportunity would be taken to engender publicity on legal aid and on Council. Experience over the years suggested that more public education would be helpful to enabling more members of the public understand how legal aid would be relevant to their daily life, and the role of Council played in this regard. Accordingly Council decided on the following to celebrate Council's 10th Anniversary
| (a) |
to hold a 10th Anniversary Community Reception to begin with;
|
| (b) |
to publish the book "Legal Aid in Hong Kong";
|
| (c) |
to hold a half-day seminar on legal aid; and
|
| (d) |
to take an information booth at the 2006 Law Week organized by the Law Society in conjunction with the LAD or with the support of LAD.
|
In addition, stationery would bear the 10th anniversary logo. Recognition would be given to those Council and staff members who would have served Council for ten years.
