@ A chicken carcass sample taken from the Cheung Sha Wan Temporary Wholesale Poultry Market was tested positive of the highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza virus during regular surveillance (Source: Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department)

& The most recent H5 avian influenza virus positive wild birds collected in Hong Kong were a dead peregrine falcon in Tung Chung and a dead black-headed gull in Yuen Long. (Source: Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department)

^ Avian influenza of H7N1 subtype was reported on commercial ostrich farms in South Africa.
