In this new series of Hong Kong
banknotes, which was put into circulation in 2003 and 2004, the security features and colour schemes for all denominations
were standardised. The size of the banknotes remains the same as for the
previous series.
The previous series banknotes remain legal tender and continue to circulate along with the new series.
