The Revised Return of Securities Related Activities

Further to my letter of 22 December 2003, I am writing to inform you that the STET template of the Revised Return of Securities Related Activities will be available for downloading from the HKMA's private website (www.hkfin.net) from 29 March 2004.

The Revised Return is to be submitted by all authorized institutions that are registered institutions (RIs) under the Securities and Futures Ordinance, including those deemed to be registered under transitional arrangements. All RIs are required to complete and submit the Revised Return for the 6-month period ended 31 December 2003 to the HKMA through the STET system on or before 26 April 2004. From the next reporting period (i.e. 6 months ending 30 June 2004) onwards, the normal reporting deadline, i.e. 21 days after the end of June and December each year, should be observed.
