Collection of financial information The MA's powers to collect prudential data on both a routine and ad hoc basis are provided by Section 63 of the Banking Ordinance. Under Section 63(1) & (2), an institution is required to submit returns or other information to the MA on both a regular and periodic basis. In addition, under Section 63(2A), the MA may require any holding company or subsidiary or sister company of an institution to submit such information as may be required for the exercise of his functions under the Banking Ordinance.
