HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
A FRESH TO STRONG NORTHEAST MONSOON IS AFFECTING THE
COASTAL AREAS OF SOUTHERN CHINA.


 
THE TROPICAL DEPRESSION OVER THE WESTERN NORTH PACIFIC HAS
INTENSIFIED INTO A TROPICAL STORM, AND WAS NAMED NYATOH. AT
10 A.M., NYATOH WAS CENTRED ABOUT 340 KILOMETRES NORTH OF
YAP. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 18
KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE SEAS EAST OF THE PHILIPPINES.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TODAY


 
FINE AND DRY. IT WILL BECOME APPRECIABLY COOLER AT NIGHT.
MODERATE TO FRESH NORTHERLY WINDS, STRONG OFFSHORE AND ON
HIGH GROUND.


 
OUTLOOK : FINE AND DRY IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS WITH
TEMPERATURES FALLING PROGRESSIVELY. TEMPERATURES IN THE
URBAN AREAS WILL BE ABOUT 13 DEGREES ON THURSDAY MORNING,
AND A FEW DEGREES LOWER IN THE NEW TERRITORIES. COOL IN THE
MORNING IN THE LATTER PART OF THIS WEEK. THE TEMPERATURE
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DAY AND NIGHT WILL BE RELATIVELY LARGE.
