HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
GENERAL SITUATION
AN ACTIVE SOUTHERLY AIRSTREAM AFFECTED THE COAST OF
GUANGDONG YESTERDAY. LOCALLY, IT WAS MAINLY CLOUDY WITH
OCCASIONAL SHOWERS AND A FEW SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS. THERE
WERE SUNNY INTERVALS DURING THE DAY. MORE THAN 20
MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL WERE RECORDED OVER MOST PARTS OF
THE TERRITORY, AND RAINFALL EVEN EXCEEDED 70 MILLIMETRES
OVER CHEUNG CHAU. THE SOUTHERLY AIRSTREAM WILL CONTINUE TO
BRING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO THE COAST OF GUANGDONG
IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
BESIDES, NANMADOL WEAKENED FROM A SEVERE TROPICAL STORM
INTO A TROPICAL STORM YESTERDAY. AT 11 P.M. LAST NIGHT,
NANMADOL WAS CENTRED ABOUT 120 KILOMETRES SOUTH OF TOKYO.
IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE EAST-NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 60
KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PART OF JAPAN.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH OCCASIONAL SHOWERS AND ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS. SUNNY INTERVALS DURING THE DAY. TEMPERATURES
