Hong Kong bowtie a bidding success

A Brand Hong Kong bowtie worn with pride by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Donald Tsang, has been auctioned to raise money for tsunami disaster relief efforts.  The stylish burgundy bowtie, which features an embroidered Brand Hong Kong dragon motif (and came with a personal message from Mr Tsang) was bought by an anonymous bidder for $7000. The nifty neckware was auctioned during an all-day broadcast by Radio 3 on January 14, 2005. It was among many items donated by Hong Kong dignitaries and celebrities to raise funds for tsunami victims as part of the station's annual 'Operation Santa Claus' charity activities.
