Invest Hong Kong ranked No. 1 for responsiveness Invest Hong Kong, the inward investment promotion department of the Hong Kong SAR government, has been ranked No. 1 in Asia in a global responsiveness survey by 'Strategic Direct Investor' magazine. In its latest edition, the UK-based magazine reported the results of its first global responsiveness survey of investment promotion agencies. SDI conducted the survey by posing as a potential investor and sending identical e-mails to agencies' websites asking for help and advice. The magazine contacted 92 agencies throughout the Asia Pacific region and the ranking was based on the speed and quality of their responses. In its evaluation, SDI wrote: "Invest Hong Kong acknowledged the receipt of our request, spelt out the key advantages to establishing an operation in Hong Kong and asked all the right questions to aid clarity in providing information. Further e-mails contained contact details for all the required information." Mr Richard McBriar, SDI's publisher, said Invest Hong Kong led the way in timeliness, quality and relevance of response and required information. "Following our enquiry, we received prompt and informative replies from Invest Hong Kong staff and follow-up calls. Out of all the investment promotion agencies surveyed in the Asia Pacific region, Invest Hong Kong went above and beyond in providing exactly what was needed." The Acting Director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, Mr John Wan, welcomed the results of the survey. "We are delighted and proud to be ranked No.1 in Asia in this survey. It shows that our efforts and dedication to promote Hong Kong's advantages and provide excellent service to our customers have not gone unnoticed," he said. "But we will not rest on our laurels. The survey results will encourage us to redouble our efforts to be responsive and proactive in promoting Hong Kong as Asia's world city." Meanwhile, Invest Hong Kong has revamped its website to reduce download time, to improve navigation and search functions, and to make it even more user friendly and more aesthetic. The website is at www.Investhk.gov.hk.
