Primary and secondary school bands and orchestras to perform at Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows

     The 2022 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows organised by the Music Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will be held from November 21 to December 14. More than 190 orchestras and bands from local primary and secondary schools will participate in the event, which provides an opportunity for students to conduct musical exchanges and gain performing experience through String Orchestra, Chinese Orchestra, Symphonic Band and Symphony Orchestra Interflows.  

     About 30 orchestras will take part in the Symphony Orchestra Interflow, with four classes to be held at the Concert Hall of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on November 21 and 22.

     About 80 orchestras will perform in the four classes of the Chinese Orchestra Interflow at the Auditorium of Tuen Mun Town Hall from November 29 to December 1.

     Over 50 bands will participate in the six classes of the Symphonic Band Interflow at the Arena of Queen Elizabeth Stadium from December 6 to 9. The top two Gold Award Winners of each class (if awarded) will be invited to compete for the Tom Lee Cup in the primary and secondary school categories at the Symphonic Band Extravaganza on December 10. The Hong Kong Youth Symphonic Band will also guest perform at the Symphonic Band Extravaganza to offer the audience an amazing music experience.

     About 40 orchestras will take part in the four classes of the String Orchestra Interflow at the Auditorium of the Yuen Long Theatre on December 13 and 14.    

     Tickets for the Symphony Orchestra Interflow are now available at URBTIX (www.urbtix.hk). Those for the Chinese Orchestra Interflow and the Symphonic Band Interflow will be available from November 8 and November 15 onwards respectively, while those for the String Orchestra Interflow will be available from November 18 onwards.      In order to comply with the requirements stipulated in the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, members of the public are required to scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" venue QR code with their mobile phones/other mobile devices before being allowed to enter the performance venues managed by the LCSD for necessary contact tracing if a confirmed case is found. In accordance with the Prevention and Control of Disease (Vaccine Pass) Regulation (Cap. 599L) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, all persons entering indoor venues under the management of the LCSD must comply with the relevant requirements of the Vaccine Pass. According to the latest requirements on the Vaccine Pass announced by the Government, all persons whose Vaccine Pass QR code is displayed in red or amber are not allowed into the performance venues managed by the LCSD.
