Cashing in on loose change

     The Monetary Authority will launch a new service schedule for its two coin carts, which convert residents' coins into banknotes for free. The service started in 2014 and has since collected 400 million coins.
 
     News.gov.hk spoke to the Monetary Authority's Head of Currency and Settlement Division to find out what happens to all the loose change and how the coin carts help people save money.
