Applications for purchase under Sale of Home Ownership Scheme Flats 2018 and White Form Secondary Market Scheme 2018 to start on March 29 (with photos)

The Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) announced today (March 21) that applications for purchase under the Sale of Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Flats 2018 and White Form Secondary Market Scheme (WSM) 2018 will start concurrently on March 29. Eligible applicants may submit applications from March 29 to April 11, 2018. Application forms and application guides will be available as from tomorrow.
A total of 4,431 flats in three new HOS developments, i.e. Hoi Lok Court in Cheung Sha Wan, Kai Long Court in Kai Tak and Yu Tai Court in Tung Chungwill be offered for sale. Project information, approved building plans, Outline Zoning Plans, land grants, latest drafts of Deeds of Mutual Covenant, aerial photographs, building models, virtual show flat walkthrough videos and doll houses produced by the building information modelling technique etc will be displayed at the Housing Authority Customer Service Centre (HACSC) in Lok Fu from 8am to 7pm from March 22 and April 11 for inspection by the public. Copies of sales booklets of the three HOS developments and the application forms and application guides for Sale of HOS Flats 2018 and WSM 2018 will be available at the HACSC for collection by the public. During this period, these documents will also be available for collection by the public within office hours at the estate offices and District Tenancy Management Offices of the HA, rental estate offices of the Hong Kong Housing Society, the Home Affairs Enquiry Centres of the Home Affairs Department and the Sham Shui Po Housing Information Centre.
Soft copies of the sales booklets, latest drafts of Deeds of Mutual Covenant and aerial photographs will also be uploaded to the designated websites of the three HOS developments. "Members of the public are encouraged to make good use of the websites for the Sale of HOS Flats 2018 (www.housingauthority.gov.hk/hos/2018), where they can browse the sales materials and view the virtual show flat walk-through videos," a spokesman for the HA said. Soft copies of the application forms and application guides for both schemes will also be available for viewing and downloading from the HA/Housing Department's website.
In addition, the HA will make available the sales brochures covering full details of the three HOS developments and the price lists for collection by the public and viewing at the designated websites before the commencement of flat selection.
The spokesman stressed, "While both the Sale of HOS Flats 2018 and WSM 2018 adopt the same set of eligibility criteria, applicants may choose one or both of the schemes. However, they need to make separate applications under each scheme.
"Separate balloting exercises are expected to be held in June to determine the priority for flat selection under different categories of applicants for the Sale of HOS Flats 2018 and the allocation of quota under the WSM 2018. This will facilitate applicants' consideration of whether to purchase new HOS flats or to buy flats in the HOS Secondary Market.
"The application period will run from 8am on March 29 until 7pm on April 11, 2018. Applications submitted before the application period or after the closing time will not be accepted."
Members of the public may visit the HACSC from 8am to 7pm during the application period or call the HA's 24-hour Sales Hotline on 2712 8000 for application details on the HOS developments or the HA Hotline on 2712 2712 regarding the WSM.
