LegCo Member conducts site visit on proposed relocation of Harcourt Road Fresh Water Pumping Station (with photos)

The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:
 
     The Legislative Council (LegCo) Member conducted a site visit to the Harcourt Road Fresh Water Pumping Station and Lockhart Road Playground today (‍February 9) to follow up on a complaint about the proposed relocation of the pumping station.
 
     Accompanied by representatives of various policy bureaux and Government departments including the Development Bureau, the Planning Department, the Architectural Services Department and the Water Supplies Department, LegCo Duty Roster Member Dr Pierre Chan first visited the pumping station to better understand whether it was feasible to keep it in situ. He then visited the proposed site for the relocation of the pumping station at Lockhart Road Playground and was briefed by government representatives on the integrated leisure facilities cum pumping station development scheme.
