"Braving Untold Dangers: War Correspondents" exhibition extended to April 30
*****************************************************************************
The "Braving Untold Dangers: War Correspondents" exhibition currently being held at the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence will be extended to April 30 to enable more people to appreciate some 30 exhibits, including equipment used by local and foreign war correspondents, valuable news reports, images and footage, and to learn about the dangers war correspondents face when working on battlefield front lines.

The exhibition is presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and organised by the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence. Highlight exhibits include a Leica I camera which was used by journalists during World War II, a protective suit and mask worn by a Hong Kong reporter during the Iraq War in 2003, and helmets and bulletproof vests worn by journalists in war zones. Valuable photos including "The Terror of War", a series of out-of-focus pictures taken among soldiers, are also on display.

The Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence is located at 175 Tung Hei Road, Shau Kei Wan. For details of the exhibition, please visit the museum's website at hk.coastaldefence.museum/en_US/web/mcd/exhibition/special.html, or call 2569 1500.
