Government releases key advice of International Export Panel on Drinking Water Safety

The Action Plan for Enhancing Drinking Water Safety in Hong Kong (Action Plan) was launched on September 21 while the enhanced water quality monitoring programme under the Action Plan commenced this month. These measures were formulated based on the advice of the IEP.

The IEP was established on June 1, 2016 to provide advice on research findings and suggestions for the Development Bureau and the Water Supplies Department relating to drinking water safety, and to report to the Secretary for Development.
