Transcript of remarks by Secretary for Security (with photo)
************************************************************
Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Security, Mr John Lee, at a media session after the signing of new arrangements on the notification mechanism in Beijing today (December 14):

Reporter: Mr Lee, how do you define what is a complex case, and what is a case that will endanger national security? Can you define it clearly now?

Secretary for Security: Obviously, each case has its circumstance and scope of investigation. So, whether a case is complex really depends on its nature, on its coverage, and on the scale of investigation and the matters that need to be covered in the investigation. As regards what will be contravening national security, this is in accordance with the laws in the Mainland, so I would suggest that you make your enquiry to the enforcement agencies in the Mainland.
