Temporary traffic arrangements in Tin Hau from this Saturday
************************************************************
     The Transport Department today (December 5) reminded members of the public that to facilitate construction works for the Central-Wan Chai Bypass, the following road sections in the vicinity of Tin Hau will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from this Saturday (December 9) at the time specified below:

From about 1am to 6am on December 9
---------------------------------------------
(i) The fast lane of Tsing Fung Street near Victoria Park;
(ii) The rightmost lane of Island Eastern Corridor westbound near the City Garden;
(iii) The second-right lane of Island Eastern Corridor westbound near the slip road leading to Hing Fat Street; and
(iv) The slow lane of Island Eastern Corridor westbound between the slip road leading to Hing Fat Street and Tung Lo Wan Garden.

From about 1am to 6am on December 10
----------------------------------------------
The slow lane of Tsing Fung Street near the Victoria Park.

     Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on-site to guide motorists.

     The TD anticipates that the traffic in the vicinity of Island Eastern Corridor near Tin Hau and Tsing Fung Street will be more congested. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion and should consider using alternative routes. Members of the public are advised to plan their journey in advance and allow more travelling time to avoid unexpected delay. They are also advised to stay alert to the latest traffic news released through the media.

     Details of the temporary traffic arrangements are now available on the department's website (www.td.gov.hk).
