SED on alleged sexual assault case
**********************************
Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Education, Mr Kevin Yeung, at a media session after attending a meeting of the Legislative Council Panel on Education today (December 1):

Reporter: Does it mean that the current monitoring and reporting system in schools doesn't work? Such a case has been hidden for 10 years. And also, is there anything the Government or the EDB (Education Bureau) can do?

Secretary for Education: I think by and large, our system works. But there are always isolated cases. They are individual cases. What we will do is that we have to strengthen our system in the sense that all those involved in the system have to pay more attention to potential cases, and we have to try our best to stop these from happening again.
