TD invites tenders for installation of traffic detectors on selected strategic routes

The contract comprises two parts:
* Works including the design, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of approximately 550 traffic detectors on selected strategic routes and associated systems including a power management system for the traffic detectors, a wireless data communication system, and a central computer system for fusion and dissemination of traffic data; and
* Eight-year operation and maintenance services of the completed works.
The works are scheduled to commence in April 2018 and will take about 32 months to complete.
The TD has appointed AECOM Asia Company Limited to design and supervise the works. Interested contractors can obtain the tender documents from the company at 8/F, Tower 2, Grand Central Plaza, 138 Sha Tin Rural Committee Road, Sha Tin, Hong Kong.
The invitation to tender was gazetted today. Tender submissions should be placed in the Government Logistics Department Tender Box situated on the G/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong. Submission of tenders will close at noon on December 22, 2017 (Friday).
