The "Sparkle! Neo Travel: Creative and Cultural Docent @ Community" exhibition was unveiled today (October 13) at Oi! in North Point. As the fourth exhibition of the "Sparkle!" series organised by Oi!, the exhibition focuses on creative and culturally related docent-led tours, showing how docents plan and run tours on creative and cultural issues. Free guided tours will also be organised during the exhibition period, encouraging visitors to learn more about art and history in the community.

Project curator Jeff Leung has invited Hanison Lau, Lau Ching-ping, Vivian Ting, Altermodernists, HK Neighbirdhood, The Human Commons and Walk in Hong Kong to reveal details of the cultural mission, creativity and motivation behind culturally creative docents and to present case studies of cultural tours. In addition to the exhibition, visitors can register to join free themed tours on nature conservation, community history and art, to carry out in-depth cultural exploration in the community.

The exhibition will run until January 7 next year. For details of the exhibition and tours, please visit www.lcsd.gov.hk/CE/Museum/APO/en_US/web/apo/sparkle_neo_travel.html or call 2512 3008. Tour places are limited on a first-come, first-served basis.

For the "Sparkle!" exhibition series, eight local curators, namely Movana Chen, Enoch Cheng, Tang Siu-wa, Jeff Leung, Solomon Yu, Yentl Tong, Sara Wong and Leung Po-shan, have been invited to use Oi! as a platform to plan and stage exhibitions and other events that reveal the artistic creativity of the young generation. Focusing on the relationship between art and contemporary living, the artists reflect on pressing issues in life and society using various means of artistic expression. Eight projects under the series will be presented at Oi! during the year 2017-18.

Oi! is located at 12 Oil Street, North Point.
