Film Archive's publication "Movie Talk Series 2" introduces writer-director Ivy Ho's works (with photo)
The Hong Kong Film Archive (HKFA) of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department worked with Ivy Ho to publish the book "Movie Talk Series 2: Ivy Ho - Unsaid", after co-operating with Director Peter Yung on the publication of "Movie Talk Series 1 - The Dream of a Lost Traveller: The Films & Photography of Peter Yung" in 2015.

In "Unsaid", Ivy Ho chronicles her experience as a writer-director along with her struggles and other hurdles. The book also features her screenplays "July Rhapsody" (2002) and "On the Minibus" (1985), as well as a collection of prose penned in a variety of circumstances. With her ingenious choice of words and rhythmic fluency, Ho constructs her literary ideas and imagery in progressive layers. This distinctive style is apparent in her film work, which further highlights her deep empathy with the plight of humanity.

The "Movie Talk" book series adheres to the HKFA's mission in regard to acquiring and preserving first-hand information while sharing its works with the public. With continuous support from more filmmakers, the public can gain a better understanding of the film industry and its cultural heritage.

The book, priced at $115 and in Chinese is now available for sale at the HKFA. For enquiries, please call 2739 2139 or visit www.lcsd.gov.hk/CE/CulturalService/HKFA/en_US/web/hkfa/publications_souvenirs/pub/movietalkseries.html.
