Special arrangements for collection of UK student visas

According to reports, many students are in need of collecting their student visas as soon as possible. Hongkong Post understands that the visa processing centre has arranged for the delivery of some of the student visas to the applicants via Hongkong Post's Local CourierPost service. In order to facilitate students to be informed about matters relating to the local delivery, Hongkong Post today (September 5) announced that the following special arrangements will be implemented until further notice:
- Hongkong Post will proactively call up the addressee (if the applicant has provided his/her telephone number in the delivery form) to arrange for collection;
- For mail items that are ascertained as already received by Hongkong Post and the addressee wishes to collect his/her item at the General Post Office (GPO) in Central, from tomorrow (September 6) onwards, a special counter (counter number 30, 1/F, GPO, Central) will be opened from 8am to 8pm. The addressee may bring along his/her identity document and the receipt showing the mail item's number to collect the item.
