SHA congratulates Hong Kong athletes for winning one gold and two bronze medals today at National Games

     The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, congratulated Hong Kong athletes on achieving remarkable results by winning one gold and two bronze medals at the 13th National Games being held in Tianjin today (September 2).

     The gold medal was won by Leung Chun-wing in the Men's Omnium (Track Cycling). The two bronze medals came from Lee Wai-sze in the Women's Keirin (Track Cycling) and Cheung ka-long, Cheung Siu-lun, Nicholas Edward Choi and Kyle Chan in Men's Foil Team.

     Mr Lau said, "I extend my sincere congratulations to them in attaining the brilliant results. They demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and by winning the medals has encouraged Hong Kong athletes and made the city proud."
