Severe Tropical Storm Pakhar situation report (2)

     The No. 8 Southeast Gale or Storm Signal issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 5.10am today (August 27) remains in force.
 
     As at 9.10am, the Home Affairs Department has opened 27 temporary shelters in various districts and 218 people have sought refuge at the shelters.
 
     The 1823 Government Call Centre has received 85 reports of fallen tree as at 10am.

     According to the Hospital Authority, as at 8.35am, a total of 17 people, including eight men and nine women, aged between 24 and 83, have sought medical treatment at public hospitals during the typhoon period.
 
     On air traffic, the Airport Authority Hong Kong reported that a total of 140 flights have been cancelled as at 6am today.
 
     The Drainage Services Department has received three reports of flooding so far. No report of landslide has been received.
