Appeal for information on dead body found in Hung Hom (with photo)

     Police today (August 18) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found in Hung Hom on May 2, 2017.

     At about 5.17 am that day, Police received a report that a woman was found floating on the sea offshore Hoi Sham Park, Hung Hom. The woman was rescued and rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was certified dead.

     The deceased was believed to be a Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) woman aged about 30 to 40. She was about 1.62 metres tall and was of medium build with long black hair. She was wearing a black sleeveless one-piece dress, a black and red silk scarf and a pair of earrings. No identity document was found in her possession.

     Initial investigation revealed no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

     Anyone who knows the deceased or has any information to offer is urged to contact officers of the Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit of Marine Harbour Division on 2886 8761.
