Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Security, Mr John Lee, at a media session before departing for Guangzhou at Hung Hom Station today (August 15):

Reporter: Howard Lam was taken by the Police very early this morning for questioning. What do you think of that? Do you have any comment on the Police's investigation?

Secretary for Security: You can all see, as shown in a lot of media reports and television (news), that the Police have taken a lot of actions since they have received this report. I have earlier explained the different aspects that they are investigating. Early this morning, they made an arrest. At this stage, I think we should give time to the Police, so that they can conduct fair and thorough investigations.
