Approved Tai Po Outline Zoning Plan Amended

The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of a "Government, Institution or Community" ("G/IC") site at Pok Yin Road to "Residential (Group B)9", a "Green Belt" site at Ma Wo Road near Classical Gardens I to "Residential (Group B)10", and a "Residential (Group C)" ("R(C)") site at Yau King Lane to "R(C)10" for proposed housing developments. The building height restriction of a "G/IC" site at On Pong Road is also proposed to be revised from three storeys to eight storeys for the development of a proposed clinic. The Notes and Explanatory Statement of the Tai Po OZP are also amended to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information on various land use zones and the planning circumstances, where appropriate.
The draft Tai Po OZP No. S/TP/27, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board; the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin; the Sha Tin, Tai Po and North District Planning Office; the Tai Po District Office and the Tai Po Rural Committee.
Any person may make written representation in respect of the proposed amendments to the OZP to the Secretary of the Board on or before October 4. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.
Copies of the draft Tai Po OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
