Temporary traffic arrangements in Tin Hau from Friday
*****************************************************

The Transport Department (TD) today (August 3) reminded the public that to facilitate the construction work of the Central-Wan Chai Bypass, the following road sections in the vicinity of Tin Hau will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from this Friday (August 4) at the times specified below:

From about 12.01am to 6am on August 4
----------------------------------------------
The slow lane of Victoria Park Road westbound between the Tsing Fung Street flyover and Tung Lo Wan Garden.

From about 11pm on August 4 to 1am on August 6
---------------------------------------------------------
Certain traffic lanes on the section of the Island Eastern Corridor westbound between the slip road leading to Hing Fat Street and Tung Lo Wan Garden.

From 1am to 11.30am on August 6
---------------------------------------
(a) Certain traffic lanes on the section of the Island Eastern Corridor westbound between the slip road leading to Hing Fat Street and Tung Lo Wan Garden; and
(b) The fast lane of Victoria Park Road westbound between the Tsing Fung Street flyover and the Island Eastern Corridor.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on-site to guide motorists.

The TD anticipates that the traffic in the vicinity of the Island Eastern Corridor and Victoria Park Road will be relatively congested. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion and should consider using alternative routes. Members of the public are advised to plan their journey in advance and allow more travelling time to avoid unexpected delay. They are also advised to stay alert to the latest traffic news on radio and television.

Details of the temporary traffic arrangements are now available on the department's website (www.td.gov.hk).
