Hong Kong Museum of Art to hold "Bravo! Floral Sensation!" arts fun days
************************************************************************
The "Bravo! Floral Sensation!" arts fun days will be held in association with the outdoor art project "City Dress Up: Blossoming Stairs" this month, offering extraordinary sensory experiences for participants. The fun days are presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and organised by the Hong Kong Museum of Art in collaboration with the Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong.

The fun days will be held from 2pm to 6pm on two Sundays on August 6 and 20 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza and Tai Po Waterfront Park respectively with free admission. Members of the public can join outdoor art workshops and game booths and enjoy live performances. Participants will also have a chance to enjoy art through other sensory channels in unusual ways, for example by creating an artwork by rolling a wheelchair across a canvas.

There will also be two guided tours to be led by artists and docents on each fun day, starting at 1pm and 1.45pm respectively, for participants to appreciate selected decorated staircases from the perspectives of the visually impaired and wheelchair users. Registration is required for the guided tours and can be done online at goo.gl/64j35r (Chinese only).

The museum collaborated with Friends of the Hong Kong Museum of Art once again this year to hold the summer programme Summer Art Cadets, with Youth Outreach - School of Hip Hop as the artistic partner. In the programme, participants were guided to express themselves through creating unique graffiti works and animation art. To tie in with the ongoing art project "City Dress Up: Blossoming Stairs", the participants' artworks will be displayed at staircases at Tai Po Waterfront Park and the Hong Kong Coliseum from August 15 onwards. Members of the public are welcome to visit and view the fruits of the hard work of the participants.
