"Summer Fun Party 2017 - Summer Fun on the Mountain" to be held at Ko Shan Theatre this weekend (with photos)
******************************************************************************************
"Summer Fun Party 2017 - Summer Fun on the Mountain" will be held from 3pm to 6pm this weekend (August 5 and 6) at the Ko Shan Theatre New Wing, offering a variety of entertainment including music and dance theatre and workshops. Members of the public are welcome to join and have an enjoyable experience. Admission is free.

The Ko Shan Theatre New Wing will become a fun-filled place packed with performances and activities. In the auditorium will be the family music and ballet theatre production "Romi and Truly", presenting the adventurous journey of two children. The show features classical music, movie songs, cartoon music and nursery rhymes and will be performed by five pianists and 30 ballerinas.

A painting exhibition will be held at the exhibition gallery to display some 30 individual and collaborative paintings by children, parents and the elderly to reflect their different stages of life. In addition, carnival-goers may test their drawing skills in a blind drawing workshop by only looking at the people to be drawn instead looking down at the drawing paper.

The carnival will also include workshops for taekwondo with music, parent-child dancing, percussion, cartoon face painting, knot making and origami for participants to showcase their creativity. Energetic drum line roving performances and magic shows, as well as an outdoor concert at the rooftop lawn, will also be held.

"Summer Fun Party 2017 - Summer Fun on the Mountain" is a programme in support of the summer festival International Arts Carnival organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
