Fatal traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin today (July 28) in which a 51-year-old man died.

     At about 9.45am, a private car driven by a 64-year-old man was travelling along Tate’s Cairn Highway towards Ma On Shan. When reaching Tate’s Cairn Tunnel, it reportedly collided with a motorcycle and a taxi.

     The 51-year-old motorcyclist was trapped under the private car and was rescued by firemen. Sustaining multiple injuries, he was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 11.31am.

     The private car driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He is being detained for enquiries.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is underway.
