Reporter: (About local blood-borne case of Japanese encephalitis.)
Secretary for Food and Health: This is the first case in the world in fact in the past 40 years. This is really one of the situations (of transmission of Japanese encephalitis (JE) virus). However, it will be very difficult to conduct this type of testing because routine testing for JE is not existing before people donating blood. Therefore, I am sure that Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection will be looking into the case in more detail. Thank you.
