Police appeal for information on serious traffic accident in Yau Ma Tei

     Police today (July 17) appealed for information about a serious traffic accident in Yau Ma Tei yesterday morning in which a 53-year-old woman was seriously injured.

     About 10.57am yesterday, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 30-year-old man was travelling along Austin Road eastbound. When approaching Woosung Street, it reportedly hit a taxi driven by a 67-year-old man and the 53-year-old woman.

     Sustaining head injuries, the woman was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state.

     The LGV driver was arrested for dangerous driving. He was released on bail and is required to report back to police in late-August.

     Investigation by the Accident Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
